iWayPatrol

Filter for Libraries

Home Page

Problem While recognizing that there is problematic material on the Internet -- Libraries have resisted the censorship of ideas is implicit in many of the Internet filter systems.
Solution iWayPatrol is an Internet filter system which permits the librarian to retain local and direct control over what is blocked and for whom such blocking occurs.
System  iWayPatrol permits turning off and on the filter at a workstation from an administration screen. Alternatively iWayPatrol offers override at the workstation using a swipe card reader. And iWayPatrol offers a patron card data base control for filter access.
Operation Installation and support are provided via Internet access. Blocking lists are updated daily via the Internet.  Local control is via web based administrative screens. This local control permits the immediate unblocking by the librarian of any "inappropriately blocked site".
Price Pricing can included hardware or your library can provide the hardware. Price is dependent upon the number of users and the selected features. Based on your needs, a tailored quotation will be provided.
